We are deeply committed to our continued role in assisting educational establishments and their students explore and develop new and exciting opportunities throughout the performing arts world.

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts

Student Performance LIPA

Anthony Field pioneered the first University-level Arts Management courses at City University in London in the late 1960’s and our commitment to arts education is as strong as ever. We have spent decades lecturing on courses at, amongst others, City University in London, Harvard University, Florida State University and The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts on this subject and the legal and financial aspects of it.

We regularly host interactive workshops and Master Classes exploring all aspects of the stage and theatrical business. Topics range from the logistics of producing plays, script development to securing capital interest and the roles of producer and theatre manager and how they work together.

We have advised a great many young people as to how to enter the profession as producers; this is an art which cannot be acquired from a book. We have devoted much time and thought over the past 50 years to producers such as Cameron Mackintosh, David Pugh and David Babani when ambitious teenagers. We were also lucky enough to encourage Thelma Holt to become the first lady producer in London’s West End.

Thousands of students have passed through our hands on Arts Management Courses and have ended up running such organisations as the Sydney Opera House, The Barbican Centre, English National Opera, the BBC Proms and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and many other major Arts institutions - long may they continue to do so!
